7th Sunday of Easter Year C - 12/5/2013 - Gospel: Jn 17: 20-26
Made in Jesus
Made in Australia, United Kingdom or USA indicates the original of the place where the goods are made. Labels give more information that tells us who imports the goods and the place where they are packed. The foods have a trade mark to reserve their rights and benefits.

We Christians are made in Jesus. It means God made and Jesus saved us.

Your trade mark. We have a faith mark, not trade mark.

Import and packed. Jesus adopts us to be children of God and heir of the kingdom. We are packed according to the mould of God's love.

Made in Jesus

Right from the beginning of the creation up to now and in the future we continue to reserve the title we are children of God and heirs of the kingdom and that is our faith mark.

God made male and female in the image of God. Gen 1,27

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you came to birth I consecrated you. Jer. 1,4-5

I have appointed you as covenant of the people and light of the nations, to open the eyes of the blind, to free captive from prison, and those who live in darkness from the dungeon. Is. 42,6-7

I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name, you are mine. Is. 43, 2

I have branded you on the palms of my hands. Is. 49,16

Your faith mark, not trade mark.

At the Baptismal font we are anointed to carry out the future mission and be sealed with the sign of the cross. The cross is our faith mark with the title we are children of God and heirs of the kingdom Rom 8,17. Those who are sealed with the sign of the cross and make the cross shine for the world is the true disciples of Jesus, doing the same mission Jesus has begun.

The spirit of the Lord has been given to me, for Yahweh has anointed me. He sent me to bring good news to the poor, to bind up hearts that are broken, to proclaim liberty to captives, freedom to those in prison, to proclaim a year of favour from the Lord, a day of vengeance for our God Is 61,1-2

Imports and packed

Your local parish is where you are moulded because it is where you gather together week after week to learn more about God's love and mercy. Your local parish is where you meet your brothers and sisters for both giving and receiving services and love. Your local parish is where you are united with God through prayers and that makes you feel at home with God.
The local church is where we are imported and moulded. The local church is temporary because our true home is in God's kingdom and that is where we truly belong to.

On the feast of the Ascension of the Lord Jesus prays to the Father

If anyone loves me he will keep my word and my Father will love him and we shall come to him and make our home with him. Jn 14,23

I want those who have given me to be with me where I am Jn 17,24
